Streatham Vale Sports & Social Club
The Streatham Vale Sports and Social Club (SVSSC) is our local social club. It has been in
operation in various forms, since 1927, so next year it will be celebrating its centenary.
The clubroom was completely refurbished in 2019. It is now looking very modern and a
pleasure to visit. The club is open and you are invited to become a member.
The SVSSC is situated at the top of Canmore Gardens, in Streatham Vale. It is a hidden
secret of the area, to many people. This is a social club, with the ‘sports’ part now restricted
to pool and darts. As a social club, however, it has a wide range of activities for members to
join in with. These range from bingo and quizzes to live music and family events including
upcoming attractions including Halloween party for children, Bonfire Night fireworks display,
and a New Year’s Eve party and many more activities including live entertainment most
weekends.
You are invited to become a member of this, our own local social club. Alcohol prices in the
club are cheaper than a pub (apart from Weatherspoons) and the atmosphere is very
friendly.
You could also use the clubroom to celebrate, for example your birthday. Capacity of the
clubroom is approximately 60 and there is a covered patio outside area. You do not need to
be a member to use the club facilities for a special event and there is no hiring charge, just
an entry cost per person.
To join the club, just pop along and ask for a Membership Form. Membership is currently
£30 per year.
