Streatham Vale Scouts Group – 22nd Streatham, would like to express their thanks and gratitude to our local businesses in the Vale that supported their Christmas fundraiser, by donating wonderful prizes for the auction. “We were really touched by their generosity and willingness to support the charity and our young people. The auction raised a fantastic amount that will buy vital equipment for future camping activities.” Thanks to Alchemy_Space (Pilates studio), Elements Fitness (Gym & studio), The Bull, Signor Ciccio (Italian Restaurant) & Estate Office Coffee.

Continuing the charity fundraising…
Sing Streatham Community Choir not only likes to have fun singing together, but also likes to support our local good causes. Every Christmas we sing a medley of carols and festive songs at a couple of venues in Streatham and collect money for a Streatham based charity.
This year we sang at Streatham Common Sainsbury’s and then a trot through the car park to the Bull where we sang in the garden beneath the heaters! It was great to see some of the customers joining in with old favourites. We are pleased to say we raised £250 to go to the Streatham Youth and Community Trust.
Many vale residents benefit from the clubs and sessions they run for our young people.
Thank you to everyone who donated to this worthy cause, and helping us to build our community.
For those of you who don’t know about us, Sing Streatham Community Choir is a small friendly group who meet on Thursday evenings during term time at Woodmansterne Secondary School. We start singing at 6.45pm and finish our sessions at 8.15pm. We sing a variety of styles of music from around the world and across the ages. There are no scary auditions and you don’t need to be able to read music.
The first session is free so why not come and join us one evening.
