ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
This year our Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 11th March 2026 at 7.30pm at Streatham Vale Sports and Social Club (SVSSC), The Pavilion, (next to) 57 Canmore Gardens, SW16 5BD. This is at the very top of Canmore Gardens and, for anyone who has never visited, we are sure you will find it a hidden gem.
Please do come along and find out about our activities and work on behalf of the Streatham Vale community. This meeting is your chance to help shape the future of the SVPOA. It is also your opportunity to get involved in your community group, by becoming a member of the Executive Committee.
Being a member of the Committee is not onerous but it is as demanding as you let it be. We have up to 11 meetings a year, which you are invited to attend. You can get more involved if you wish, but there is certainly no pressure for you to do so.
The Annual General Meeting is also your chance to propose matters for discussion and/
or action, in the form of a formal motion. Such motions must be received, in writing, at least 28 days prior to the AGM, by either delivering them to the Secretary or one of our Trustees, in order for them to be considered. Motions can be anything from a proposed change to our Constitution, a proposal for action by the SVPOA or even a stance that we should take.
At the Annual General Meeting, members of the Executive Committee will present their reports of the year. These are also published within this issue of Vale Topics. You can raise any comments or questions about these reports at the meeting.
Following the meeting there will be a chance to socialise and mingle with your neighbours and members of the Executive Committee. We will provide some light refreshments and the SVSSC has a well-stocked bar with prices lower than elsewhere.
